MINIMUM IGNITION ENERGY

This test determines the minimum ignition energy of a dust cloud in air. The MINIMUM IGNITION ENERGY MINIMUM IGNITION ENERGY (MIE) of a dust –cloud is primarily used assess the likelihood of ignition during processing and handling and to evaluate the need for precautions such as explosion prevention systems. The minimum ignition energy requirement for a combustible substance can be important in the assessment of hazards in a plant. It can serve as a guideline for determining the scope of the protective measures to be taken and to provide an insight for the general understanding of ignitions by static electricity. RAPID SCREENING DEVICE Test - KELVN Safety Services Pvt ltd

The RSD helps chemists and engineers quantify exothermic (and endothermic) reactions from materials of low hazard to high explosives.   The heated calorimeter chamber has a circular pathway to allow air (or inert gas) to circulate repeatedly during the test. The gas passes through the sample chamber and over the main heater. Circulation is achieved by a high temperature fan and a control thermocouple regulates power to the heater to implement the test protocol. RAPID SCREENING DEVICE RAPID SCREENING DEVICE (RSD) is a technique which is primarily used for stability investigation of different kinds of chemicals by safety researchers to quantify thermal hazards by the temperaturepressure-time and heat of reaction data obtained. RSD uses sample quantity in grams to obtain more quantitative data than other conventional instruments. RSD has more advantage when it comes to sample testing which is equipped with six sampling chambers which helps to test different kinds of samples (s...
